According to the Bill of Rights, Amendment 1 says that Americans have freedom of speech, which translates to freedom of expression. Thus, although some people have terrible fashion, it is still their right to look bad.

People also have the freedom to protest laws they feel are unconstitutional. Some people throw up their hands and storm beaches to protest injustice.
Pic 3
According to several of the first ten amendments, Americans have a right to justice, meaning a right to get a lawyer and a jury when charged with a crime.

The third amendment does not permit soldiers to live in others' homes without permission. They must sleep outside like abandoned cats.
Pic 5
Finally, the 8th Amendment protects Americans from cruel punishment, so Batman can't just go around slapping people whenever he wants to.
