1. Robert Fulton designed and operated the worlds first steamboat. This was a very helpful invention as it greatly reduced time and expenses of shipping goods to far distances.
2. Ben Franklin Invented bifocals. These were eyeglasses that had both correction for your distance vision and help with reading on the bottom. He invented these because he was tired of switching glasses for far and near.
3. Jet hero Tull invented the seed drill in 1701 as a way to plant more efficiently. Prior to his invention all seed planting was done by hand individually. This invention helped the farmers by making their job easier and by planting more crops so they would have more.
4. The first parachute was invented by Jean Pierre Blanchard. This was a very cool invention and was used in war. At first Blanchard used canvas and folded. Silk.
5. Bartolomeo Cristofori Invented the piano because he unsatisfied by the lack of control musicians had over the volume level of the harpsichord. This music instrument was limited and only the very wealthy had it.
