Five Card Story: The Foggy Land

about this story
Exposition: Me and my family have arrived at the old house that belonged to my grandparents, and generations before them. It has been in the family for decades, and I spent a lot of time here as a kid.
Rising Action: As we parked the car and unloaded our bags, I got a strange feeling. I turned to the window to my left, feeling like I was being watched. The curtains in the window quickly. shut and swayed.
Climax: Once we finally got our bags all inside, me and my brother ran upstairs to claim our rooms. We were arguing over the biggest one, when a chill blew past us. Followed by thick wafts of fog, too thick to see through.
Falling Action: I couldn’t find my brother, so I carefully ventured through the house looking for someone. I bumped into something with my shin, as the fog started to clear. I don’t know how or when, but I ended up in a cemetery.
Resolution: I looked around, trying to figure out how I got here. I spun around a few times, growing increasingly alarmed. I’m in the woods, no where near the old creepy house we just moved into. I don’t recognize where I’m at.
