4. The day began at 7am. It was the third week of June so instead of going to the bus stop, Sophie went to the neighborhood park. She played on the swing set and swung higher than she ever had. Sophie has so much energy this early in the morning. On her way home from the park, Sophie spotted a small grey creature running between the trees. She wasn't sure what it was until it popped out from behind a nearby hedge. It was a stray cat that was just as curious as Sophie. The cat mirrored Sophies cautious steps as they walked closer to each other. Sophie and the cat befriended each other in no time! She named the cat Clover and decided she to bring it home. On the way back to the house, Clover dashed the other way and Sophie began to chases after her. She ran down the road to find Clover basking in a vibrant green pasture accompanied with cows. Sophie laughed and joined Clover in the field, jumping on hay bales and chasing each other around the cows. When Sophie made it back home, she was eager to introduce Clover to her family. Before she could say anything, Sophie's mom gasped and asked Sophie how she could be so careless. Sophie looked down and noticed her hands and clothes were covered in dirt from the pasture. Clover was just as in need of a bath. They cleaned up and Sophie had a new friend to play imagination with. Sophie introduced Clover to all her toys and they played until dinner was ready.
