Today was Anything But a Backpack Day for seniors at NHS. Ana Santana decided to lug her books and Chromebook around in a wagon attached to her bike. She rode through the hallways with a wagon full of junk. Once she got to class, Ana pulled a cat out of her bike wagon and sat down to learn. Instead of paying attention in class, she fell asleep and took a nap alongside Mr. Wiggles. Ana also spent some of the day on a field trip to visit her first grade pen pal at the Oldham school. Ana played on the playground with the first graders, running around and screaming just like she often does in class. Ana finally returned to NHS, just in time for Mr. O'Connor's period 7 class, or as she calls it, "30 Minutes of Food Time." Ana pulled out a box of Oreos, and proceeded to loudly munch cookies in the front row of class, despite forgetting Mr. O'Connor's Brazilian chocolates again. With just a few days left of senior year, Ana made the most of her final Wednesday. It was a great day!
