The lake, calm and serene. The only noises to be heard were the croaks of frogs and splashes of fish. Walking further, Carter saw the beautiful display of fall colored leaves. The oak trees losing their beauty, waiting until spring to bloom. As he passed the trees Carter could faintly hear the voice of a woman. "Carter...are you with us?" Carter shakes out of his daze, looking around confused. "Uh- yes ma'am, sorry." Mrs. Parker shook her head and continued, talking about the project they have. "Pipe cleaners and pompoms" Carter thought. He was going back to his peace. Hours later, Carters' father came to walk him home from school. "How was school today, son?" "Eh, it was alright. My daydream was rudely interrupted, though." They both laugh and continue their walk home.
