about this story

In the afternoon of August 29th I planned to go to the carnival. I had been waiting for this moment all year. It was one of the best events of the summer. I woke up around 12pm. I got up brushed my teeth and washed my face. I made some toast with a special sauce I learned from my mother last summer and some left over beef from last nights dinner. I wanted to eat something light before I went to the far because I always eat a lot at the fair, especially pizza and funnel cake. After I ate I got dressed and headed out the door. The fair is about five blocks away from my house across a parking lot in a big field. As I walked past the next two blocks there's this place with painted pictures everywhere and it has became one of my favorite places to pass by. I just like to look at the pictures and make up stories to them. As I passed the next two blocks there was some construction going on at a building so I crossed the street to avoid any problems. Now the fair is only block away. As I walk up to the fair I see all of the colorful bright lights, the smell of funnel cake, kids yelling and the carnival music. Now I'm super excited and can't wait for the experience. I play a couple games and a young boy walks up to me and shows me a frog that he won. I'm not a frog kind of person so I didn't touch it but, it made me happy to see how happy the young boy was. Shortly after I met up with some friends there and we got on some rides and of course, I ended my carnival day off with some pizza and some funnel cake.
