Las campanas de la torre resonaron con ese estruendo que solo ellas podían alcanzar . Todos acudieron a la llamada. Los rudos pobladores de las tierras áridas, los habitantes fríos del mar infinito, los animales que ocupaban los bosques impenetrables... Para conmemorar el día en el que la Tierra dejó de llamarse Tierra, porque ningún ser humano podía alimentarse ya.
