It all started when I watched my neighbor slip the letter into the misdirected mailbox. She had to have seen my name on it. She could have just dropped the letter by my house, but no. She dropped it in the slot, completely out of my grasp for at least twenty-four hours.
I shuffled home depressed. I thought maybe things were looking up for me when I saw a rainbow, but it was only a short-lived reprieve. I came home to find my little brother cooking my I-pod. I guess he's still mad about the great Facebook Hacking Incident of 2010...
My mom tried to cheer me up by cooking fresh fish, but even my favorite meal wasn't enough. I felt lifeless. Deflated. It seemed like time was crawling by. Nothing for me to do but wait idly for the postal worker to come and fix the mistake.
