Pondering my surroundings I'm at first overwhelmed. A walk on a cool, gray day finds a simple fence that carries the eye away. Inside, at every turn, wheels, cogs, spirals, spokes. A quick return outdoors finds the twisted aging tree. This all seems at first complex, too much. I breathe, continue following the limbs of the tree and slowly, I realize that it is all simplicity itself. Order, sense, a clear purpose.
