I am a Dare devil. I love speeding down long roads. I feel a huge rush inside myself whenever I put myself in danger. I think it's funny when people see me and gasp seeing a young boy like myself riding down a busy road only using a skateboard. It was a normal day. I was doing what I always did which was speeding down a street on my board.
I was going so fast I couldn't stop and I ended up running into a trash bin at the end of the street. I screamed and got back to my feet and looked for my board. I found it and noticed it was broken and I started to swear and threw it at the bin in anger. I looked up at the bin and it caught my eye. I had always noticed the trash in the area and how it only seemed it be getting worse. I thought since my board broke I might as well help by cleaning a little bit to pass time.
I felt proud when I was cleaning. I felt like I was helping and doing the right thing. Before I knew it the day had ended and it was becoming dark. My house was very far away and without my board I did not know how I was going to get home before my parents noticed I wasn't home and it was late.
I grabbed my cell phone which I remembered was in my pocket and called my friend and asked if he could give me a ride. He asked what happened and I said my board broke and I had been cleaning up trash. He laughed at me then said he thought it was cool I was doing something other then hurting myself.
The next day I walked around town and saw a bunch of men working on cleaning a part of town. I asked them if they needed help and one of the men knew me and looked amazed and said sure. All day I helped out and felt really good about myself. I think I'm going to see if my friends want to help me tomorrow.
