about this story

From the earliest time in human history, the ability to move has always been important. The ability to stand on two legs and walk was our first achievement in travel. From there, the evolution of travel has greatly improved the speed and effectiveness in the ways we get from one point to another.

The bicycle was invented in the 19th century and there are now over 1 billion bikes in the world. This number is over twice the population of cars on the road today. The efficient use of automated vehicles has caused the world to become smaller. Greater distances can be traveled in fractions of the time it would have taken many years ago.

With travel came roads, and with roads came sidewalks. Sidewalks are cool.
