Five Card Story: Hawaiian Vacation

about this story
After packing for hours and trying to equip,
we set out on our journey: our first Hawaiian trip.
My husband and I were excited to see,
that our first stop was a fire show for free.
Many had gathered from all over the state,
To come together and celebrate.
Our next stop just happened to be,
And active volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii.
The lava flowed down the mountainside,
I am sure moments like this fill that volcano with pride.
We were able to spend a few days near the beach.
We snorkeled in the coral reefs and saw a whale breach.
The berry-kissed coral sparkled in the sunlight,
and the lizards skimmed on the water to the left and the right.
We ended each day with a night on the town.
Tonight we were craving pizza and then walked around.
We are enjoying the beauty and splendor of this island.
It is much better than we had ever imagined.
