about this story

When I was younger, I used to think that fate and God would predetermine all the twists and curves of my life. I believed that when I got to the end of the "trail of life" and peered over the cliff, I would see one last vast stretch of awe-inspiring creations made by God, before ascension into heaven.
However, this was a fanciful thought spawned by a combination of my parents' religion (Christianity) and my own imagination.
Now, I believe in the self sufficiency of human beings and their ability to create their own kind of beauty, as well as the beauty of simpler aspects of nature, like daffodils and sunlight.
