about this story

When I woke up this morning, I remembered that I had to go to court at nine fifty. I got up and stepped the three steps it took me to walk to my closet. It took me a while to decide what to wear, but finally I put on my best black suit. I walked outside. It was a beautiful morning. I thought about hailing a taxi, but instead looked at my watch. It was eight thirty. It took about fifteen minutes to get to the old stone building where the courtroom was located. I started to walk. When I arrived, I stepped inside. A gorgeous fountain stood between two marble pillars underneath a circular ceiling. I walked over to the elevator and pushed number three. The elevator started moving and then stopped. The doors slid open. I slowly walked down a corridor.
