I was painting in my studio on a lovely Saturday morning. There was beautiful light streaming in and I was really getting into my picture when i saw a newly-bloomed yellow flower in my garden outside. I couldn't let its beauty go to waste, so I incorporated the yellow flower into the scene I was painting. I was almost finished with the painting when my cell phone rang. I had completely forgotten I had an art gallery opening today with some of my work in it! I quickly changed and left to go to the opening, where people were lined up waiting to see the new gallery. While there, I also learned a few tips about the art of tree sculpting. Though I don't think I'll ever continue in the business of tree sculpture, it was quite interesting.
