The trees rustling in the night sky
The road looking up, asking good why
While the city is still like a chicken waiting for slaughter
And a woman wondering if the shadow was her daughter
With the mile long bridge connecting the world
And the swift swimming water looking swirled
I just stop and think
Where would we be without mans best friend.
