Five Card Story: A Walk Through The Woods

about this story
On warm sunny days during the summer, my brother and I like to take adventure walks. On this day we cross the bridge under the track to the woods outside of town. The woods are still full of water from the flooding from the river as it spilled over its banks after a week of nothing but rain. We find the old brick building hidden in the woods and peer in the window. The wine fills the shelves from the vineyards that used to grow there. The table is still set with glasses waiting for those that thirst to taste it. We back away as an old man returns to the table. The vines surrounding the building have withered and twisted like snakes covering the entrance to the front door. We head back to the woods and are glad to see we are no longer alone as we head back home for the day.
