It was a nice, sunny morning. I awoke to the scent of my neighbor's freshly cut grass, and children playing outside. As I look out my bedroom window, I can see the morning dew on my lawn gleaming off the reflection of the sun. Soon though, I notice the sounds of a huge traffic jam. It seems pretty ugly. I think to myself, about how lucky I am not being in it - the traffic seems to be as slow as a snail. Getting dressed and ready for lunch with my friend, I glance at my watch and I realize I am running late. With the traffic, it'll take me forever to make it to the hotel in time. I quickly put on a few dabs of makeup, I slap on my heels, I grab my purse, and before I know it I'm out my door running. I ran non-stop for what seemed like an eternity, and I finally reach the hotel. I should probably freshen up a bit...I sweat like a pig. "Bang!" Suddenly, I hear what sounds like a person fumbling. I turn around to see that my friend I was meeting for lunch had tripped. It turns out, she had also lost track of time and she ran over too - she just tripped and fell on the way. We both laugh tiredly, and we head to the restroom together to freshen up. After that, we head to the Greek restaurant inside the hotel, and we get our table. It's a good thing we both came on time. The food was delicious, and soon after getting a table, there was a huge line-up at the door. Today was definitely not ordinary.
