It was just one of those mornings I contemplated staying in bed. As I rolled over on my mattress and stretched, I raised the blackout blinds on the window to see if the weather reflected my mood. It did. I knew the minute I got out of bed my mom would hear the creak of the floorboards to warn her I was up. This soured my mood even more. Today was the day I promised her I would clean up my clutter around the house. Mom wasn't going to be hoaxed into granting me permission to fulfill any other commitments until I finished my chores. My thoughts drifted to the early years when I didn't have a care in the world but to be a kid. Oh, sweet memories. My mind flashes back to the present and reality raises me out of bed.
