about this story

John was a successful business man who worked for Apple. He was a city man, a man who liked structure, cleanliness, and familiarity. His department decided to do a leadership retreat out in the woods, a camping weekend. This is a great opportunity for John to connect with his coworkers and to grow in his leadership but unfortunately he would much rather take a tour in a museum than do anything in the wild. His anxiety and worries about what could happen in the wild just escalated to the point of considering to call in sick. John realized that his fear was holding him back from a great experience and in growth. He calmed himself down and reminded himself that God created the universe, the trees, the squirrels, you name it. That there should be no worries as long as He is in charge and that he should observe and give thanks for what He has created. John went on the trip and brought along his Bible as a reminder that he doesn't have to worry; and he had the time of his life.
