Abrí la puerta de aquel pasaje con dedos temblorosos, el libro palpitaba en mis manos. Hojeaba entre las páginas, tras la celosía de la puerta. Se escapaba un rumor húmedo con olor a selva, o el pitido insistente de los mensajes. La tarde oscurecida temblaba en un vaticinio de presagios tenebrosos que yo apagaba picoteando mi helado de frambuesas.
