So, I'm driving along the open road, having a grand old time, until I discover that I am in the middle of nowhere. Argh! I stop at a greasy spoon along the way and pull out my tried and true atlas of the United States. I am perplexed because the maps are so small and trying to formulate directions is taking away from my grand old time. Instead I pull out my handy-dandy laptop, thank goodness for free wi-fi and Google where I am. Hmmm...not too far from Vegas. Vegas it is. Get the directions off of Google maps and the next thing you know, 7 hours later, I am in Vegas. Started off at Caesars...want to forget Caesars. Ended up winning a huge booty at Treasure Island, which I immediately turned around and went to an Apple store. Figured I needed an iPhone if I ever got lost again. Turn by turn navigation would have done me good back on the open road. You never know where technology might take you!
