Do you believe in fate? Destiny? I wasn't so sure - but now I know for certain that my life has been mapped out from the beginning. I think I have the ability to make decisions in my life but I'm really like a character in a film. The dice has already been rolled and I'm already on the path. Nothing can alter the future and I have no way of changing the past. I wish I could, I really do. I wish I'd never stopped to eat lunch outside that faded blue door with the intriguing brass door knocker. Why did I stop there? Why did I choose to knock? The only explanation is that I didn't have a choice. You think you know how the story ends? Go ahead. You will end up stood beside me with the same puzzled expression. The clock keeps ticking and I always end up in the same place staring up at the vaulted ceilings wondering why everything had turned out the way it did.
