about this story

I grew up in a Catholic home and as I grew more mature physically and emotionally, always sought the same maturity in my faith. Unfortunately, as I grew past adolescence and started asking hard questions about my faith, my parents didn't have answers for me. Heck! I was answering my teachers' questions in my high school religion classes! I didn't know what or who to pursue to mature intellectually and spiritually in closeness to God. After a year of missions that involved inviting children and teens to encounter their Catholic faith in a new way but little of that growth I was looking for, I was directed by a friend to TWU in beautiful BC. At Trinity I have been able to explore my Catholic faith and the riches that my protestant brothers and sisters have to share with me by pursuing relationship and fellowship with them. Escaping my literal comfort zone of Ontario and a strictly Catholic environment (when I did missions), enabled me to begin a journey down a new, sometimes dark and scary, path which I know ultimately will end in the light of my own discovery and encounter with God.
