Five Card Story: Mission Failed

It was all up to me to unlock the star shaped lock and get back to base without any followers. This was a very risky mission and they sent me. The one thing that still bugs me is that i've been having visions ever since the man from the train system ran up to me and left a knife in my side. It left an after effect that I couldn't put my finger on it. I put that thought in the back of my head but it would keep crawling back. I wasn't sure what to do but I know that with this treasure inside the safe that I could leave this country.I could put this whole experience behind me and go back to being an agent.
The young man was right that somthing has been messing with his head and it was so that people could find him without even trying. He would be in grave danger if he didn't leave the country soon. He would be somewhere that he couldn't see light again.
He opened the door, grabbed the treasure, and fled to the back entrence where someone was waiting for him. When the man first stepped foot outside he was hit in the face with a metal bar and the treasure was taken. He was put in a car and dropped of at a church on a mountain side.
When he finally woke up it had been eight hours from when he was dropped off around noon. He slowly stood up and made his way down the valley back to the city where he saw all these faces staring at him.He called base and told them to be here ASAP. They asked him if he was ok but he regected their voices. He made his way half beaten and his head playing tricks on him back to where he was last.
He made his way there and he thought he heard helicopter blades when someone came up behing him and hit him back to the world of the living. He could hear the men laughing so he got up fast holding his head and made a quick dash for the helicopter which was taking off. He made a jump and grabbed a hold of the landing bar. Climbed up, and grabbed a parachute and the concealed treasure held tightly by the sinister man and jumped out into the valley where a fighter jet opened the roof and he landed inside. He uncliped his chute and gave his boss the treasure and he gave a light chuckle and then slowly fell on his back. One man screamed, "Get him to a hospital!" The boss opened the box and the contents inside there was the antidote for the poisoned dagger that had pearced the agent's side when he had first arrived. The man gripped the needle and with a quivering fear in his voice he said, "its to late for him to be saved."
