The instructor said,"What makes up literacy to you? Is it just reading and writing?"
"No," said Abir, "it can be anything we do with our hands, feet, heart, money, understanding, and so on."
"Hmm," said the instructor. "Does that mean reading meaning into this picture of light and shadows is a literacy?"
The students sat and thought.
