When I graduated college I felt like my life was a monopoly board. Depending on which path I chose my life would spin in very different directions. I had many different options to choose from and I have always wondered how my life may be different now had I chosen a different spot on the board game of life. Early on in my teaching career and in my life I felt like my vision for myself as well as for my future was a little foggy. It felt like an up hill climb with many obstacles to overcome. But I did it and I was successful and I feel like now in my life I am living many sweet successes that are opening up doors for my future professionally and personally. As a person and as an educator I feel as if I have always made my decisions through the eyes of a child. I am fascinated by young eyes, to me they have a purity in them like no other, they also have a joy in them that is welcoming and full of love. Lastly, I feel that this branch signifies how I feel as a teacher/technology coach. Overtime, I feel that some of strategies or tools I learn along the way stick close to the vine and continue to grow and mature while other ideas, initiatives, come and go and gradually wither away. I feel that if I stay focused to the leaves that stay connected to the vine, I am a better educator and mentor to those around me and am able to stay focused on ways to help fellow staff and students grow.
