about this story

Old statues dressed in patina
Like guardians
Standing across side streets
Beryl eyes opening wide
Hiding in the shadow
Truck covered with rusted paint roared by
Frightened creatures running across
Never knowing the outside
Like Chinese watercolor
A whole new world
With golden sunshine
