about this story

The cloak of morning covers the hills in a soft grey blanket.
golden fingers stab across the flat grassland in an explosion of red and green.
In the scraggly tree branch, crow caws its harsh hello to the distant hills.
The dusty moth Flits like a leaf from wild flower to grass, its antennae like whips sniffing the morning dew.
Waiting in the tall grass, the snakes tastes the air, waiting with eyes frozen open for its first snap and gulp of an unknowing prey.
Morning has retreated and the hills are open to the day.
