about this story

Richard decided to use Second Life as part of the learning module he was creating. He felt this would give the learner a real sense of engagement and a powerful experience. Second life would give the learner a chance to practice using the new medical device on a simulated patient. Practicing on simulated patients is an improvement over medivial torture devices which were always tested on real people. The patients are very happy about this, and the learner experiences clear sailing after much practice.
