Getting the opportunity to be right in the middle of the action was exciting for me. I got up early that morning, ready for an exciting day. I had been looking forward to this once in a lifetime opportunity to attend this event for months. I was NOT disappointed, it was a once in a lifetime gift that I had given myself. Unfortunately, some people didn't feel the same way. Protesters showed up and started making angry noises and gestures. The evidence was everywhere. While I was excited about being in the middle of it, I am more comfortable being an observer from the comfort of my own home. It makes me sad we can't get along and embrace other's differences. Let's get away...go see the kids.. Sometimes, I just need to experience the innocence and purity of my grand-children.
