It was the first day of fall.

I was really hungry for something apple-y, like an apple pie. But I didn't want one that came out of a box.

My dog, Charlotte, wanted to go for a swim. But we didn't have time for that right now.

In fact, it was time to run home and see Mom. Guess what she had waiting for us? A fresh-baked apple pie!
