It had been a long week and all that Serena could think about was the glass of wine she so desired. If truth be told, the evening would involve several glasses. That's what would be needed to dull the roar that resided in her head. How would she ever measure up? The wine was like a temporary vacation from her own mind. She knew however that relief and work would always intersect at some point. The inevitable. The screaming voice. Innovate. Innovate. The cavernous echo...fate, fate, fate...you're too late. The waves of time lapped the shore. Serena could take it no more.
