It all started as a small peaceful day in mid October. I started up my floatplane to visit my cousins who lived in the Canadian northern wilderness right near one of the biggest lakes in the area. Problems started as soon as I steered the plane to a nice place to take off. Suddenly the water picked up speed and carried me towards the most feared rapids on the whole lake! Good thing the engine kicked in last minute, because my usually calm face was white with fear. Since I lived in British Columbia, I was able to take a good look at the Rocky Mountains. Everything was going well until I felt a big jolt. I quickly looked up to see a bald eagle jammed in the propeller. Oh NO!!!! I must have flown to low to the ground!! I found myself diving straight towards a medium sized lake about 25k from. Without any time to waste, I grabbed a cap inflatable canoe so I could get off the lake easier. When I escaped the lake, I coldn't think about anything but the long walk home.
