Around the corner, down the alleyway within a monochromatic town they walk. Crooked backs, pungent attires, heavy footsteps, a dawdling tread. She trudge languidly with an expression ever so despondent. He accompanies her, also reluctant to initiate conversation; traces nonchalance are present in every action.
His eyes roam the scene, an image of Stonehenge crossed his vision, he was reminiscing. Frenzied shrieks, shadows crying in pain, a world engulfed in flames; it was then that hell was given a name - the Great Fire of London.
They escaped the grasps of death but are now imprisoned in a maze of their own creation. Desperation, melancholy, anguish, misery. Their cries of help are never heard.
God is dead and he left a dystopia in his absence.
