Five Card Story: A home at last

about this story
A mother cat and her two kittens found themselves stowaways on the large ship after boarding it in search of the source of the fishy aroma wafting on the air. Thank goodness the ship was only sailing a short way, as the kittens were seasick and they struggled for food, never finding the fish they had dreamed of. They left the ship a day later and began venturing about the large English city. Soon they met a lonely dog dragging his leash. Obviously he'd escaped his owner, or in the very least his yard. What were they to do, four lonely and hungry animals wandering the city together yet alone? It wasn't long, though, before they found their way to a city park where a large group of children were having a picnic. What luck for the four animals; there were plenty of scraps to go around. And amazingly each of them actually found a home with a different child from among the group. How lucky!
