As humans, we all search for meaning in various ways. We wander with others through city streets, thinking of the harmony of just being in groups. Sometimes we congregate to contemplate the divine, guided by inspired displays of art. Sometimes we just sit in wonder at how nature makes its own art in crystalline displays. But in essence, we are alone in a human world, with our constructions cast up against the vastness of the sky. Finally, in desperation, we celebrate our success as a species by garish outpourings of loud noises and bright lights, symbolizing our powers of destruction.
