about this story
My wander in the city began on a sleepy fall morning in an unknown city. The temperatures had dropped, as November sank in. The weekend after Halloween, I found myself thinking about the upcoming holidays, specifically thanksgiving and Christmas. Fall had always been my favorite time of year. I was feeling introspective, and so decided to take a walk through the sleepy, damp city. I pondered the meaning of my existence as I wandered about, finding myself paying particular attention to the various reflections and the churches that I came upon. Later I mad my way home, had some hot tea, a nap, and the went out onto my small porch where I had grown my first plants during the summer. A blanket wrapped warmly around me, I read and wrote a little. I ended my day with a stroll through my neighborhood, and a delicious organic salad before snuggling into bed as my want scented candles burned. Life was beautiful then.
