about this story
Once upon a time, a little turtle was released into the wild by his owner, given the opportunity to explore the wild and have a life of freedom. His journey took him further than his dreams could have ever taken him, from the snowy mountain peaks, to the grassy plains of Africa. He was disappointed at the fact there was no river to be seen, so he took leave and headed for the wondrous land of rivers that had only been spoken about among the other animals, but never seen. Riverside. The land of gravel and billboards finally came to the horizon after his long and tiresome journey. Nothing was on his mind but the thought of finally seeing a river. After several days of walking he finally found the river he had always dreamed of, although it was nothing but a lowly city water drain, he had never known what a real river looked like. He then used his little turtle lungs to take his last breath of relief as he had finally gotten to his hearts desire. Rest in peace little turtle friend. You're an inspiration to us all.
