about this story

Once upon a time there was movement; ideas and thoughts are in constant motion, much like the material of this world. Everything is constantly moving even if it does not seem like it. The clouds, for example, are in constant motion, moving up, down, and following the westerly winds. The clouds are in constant motion, much like the trends and ideas of humankind. In the Renaissance period ideas were in flux, flowing in and out and combining in major hubs of the world where people met. Where cultures clashed and met. The projection and movement of ideas through mouth, or media, or whatever form is prevalent in the time. The ocean and nature is in constant flow, waxing and waning like the tide, or traversing across the land.

Once there was a nomadic photographer, by the name of Megan James. She never stayed in one place long enough to settle down, so her life was in constant motion. Life was too exciting to settle down and stay in one place for too long, so she never wanted a simple life. To live in a little hometown, with a husband and children, a desk job, and typical suburban life...all of this was dull. Flavorless. Unexciting. So when she became of age, she never stopped running.

Megan traveled the world, taking in all visual stimuli. Everything had a story, a meaning, a place in life, and everything held significance. So, she took photographs of everything, putting each and every photo in a box, storing them away forever.

Megan crossed the United States, left for Italy, Germany, France, Russia, Bermuda, Madagascar, Australia...anywhere she could go. Clouds, beaches, the Renaissance architecture, sermons, lectures, deserts, cultural festivals, weddings, funerals...everything had a story.

When her story began to close, the last photograph she took was of the back end of a moving truck. All of her belongings were being shipped away, donated to charity, though she did not have much due to her nomadic life. Not long after donating everything but few objects, she passed away. Years would pass before anyone found her box of photographs and took in the images, learning about the story of a photographer who spent her life documenting others' stories.
