about this story
A new bike.
That was all Greta thought about, a day after her birthday.
She couldn't hold back any longer.
She ran outside, donned her helmet, mounted her bike, and took off like there was no next minute, like it was the end of the world if she hadn't gone fast.
She biked and biked, and felt the soft, gentle wind blow against her neck. It was summertime, and this was her idea of it.
Unaware of her surroundings, she lost balance as she biked across a steep dip, and in an attempt to regain her balance she steered to the right, only to suddenly roll straight into a coffee shop.
Chairs and tables crashed. Chandeliers fell. Eggs flew everywhere. Clocks swung across the room. Cats meowed. And Greta died.
A grand funeral was held in her honor, and from then on she was known as the addict.
