about this story

Once there was a statue who held a ball. The statue lived in a park, all alone. One day, the statue decided that he wanted to have a name, like humans do. Maybe he wouldn't be so lonely. He went to the courthouse to get a name. A very rude woman told him, "You are just a statue. You can't have a name like a real person!" The statue went turned his back on the humans, returned to his park, and made friends with the wild animals who, like him, had no names. None of them have any regrets, either.
