Five Card Story: The Magical Flower

about this story
It all started when I was in my room. I bought a flower from the new flower shop across the street. It had lasted the whole summer so far. It was a beautiful bright yellow color. I watered it faithfully every other day, but then the school year started. I stopped watering the flower, and I expected it to die, but after months and months had past, it was as healthy as ever. It seemed almost magical.
The school year eventually ended, so I started watering the flower again. After a few days, it started glowing. It kept glowing brighter and brighter, day by day. Later there was a portal in my room. Without thinking, I entered it. I went through a dark tunnel,and I was in another world.
I knew it was another world, but I was not human. I was a dog. A small Maltese in a big, new world, and right across from me, was a gigantic castle, surrounded by lots of white flowers.
