about this story
On my first trip to Brazil I took a tour bus around the city I was staying in. The bus driver was very kind and generous. Her name was Rosalita. We stopped at a small cafe called "By The Sea" and ate clams. They have beautiful architecture there. Soon I was very tired and just went back to the hotel I was staying in.
The next day I went to the beach and picked shells to give to my relatives. I found some unique plants and one that had a purple root. I brought It back home to a local museum and they said the plant I found was very unique. They took it from me and used it in their experiments they were currently working on.
A few days later I got a call saying they used the root they got from me to make medicine that saved a girl with leukemia. I was overjoyed. I got invited to a donors banquet and was rewarded with a plaque and $1000 dollars. I went to bed that night with quite a good feeling in my stomach.
