about this story
One day Scruff the dog was taking a walk. He walked past a tree and a pond. When he decided to take a walk he had to get past the gates that his owners had put up to prevent him from adventure. He figured he should try to find a space in the gate he could fit through. When he finally found one, he was so excited to finally be on his own for a day. He stared out by walking past a pond that was not clear gunk because of the storm that just had passed. On the side of the pond he saw a tree. As he walked by, the tree bark did not stay on the tree. He got scared and looked up at the spot where the bark once was. As he looked up he noticed a bird staring at him. Scruff started to bark and jump onto the tree. He barked and barked and then the bird became unconscious and fell onto the ground. Scruff looked at the bird and quickly ran away into the pond. It started to get dark so he decided to go for a swim. When Scruff was done he was not dry. He quickly made his way back home.
