It was a Saturday evening and I had just got back from work. My husband had been waiting for me in the backyard. He had a box set up next to our favorite tree. It was our favorite because I had always joked with him that the tree was as big as his ego, he always hated it. I eye balled something hiding behind the cardboard box. He pulled out behind his hands something that resembled tickets, I couldn't tell from the porch I had been standing on. I walked forward and they were tickets. He got us tickets to the grand canyon and then he pulled out flowers, the brightest pink I had ever seen. Later that night, he called me back out into the backyard as he set off fireworks. The fireworks soared above our heads way up into the heavens. I've always loved his surprises.
