Five Card Story: Near the sea

It was a silent morning. The summer vacation has just started, and Thomas was glad once again that he was born in this nice place near the sea unlike kids from other towns whose families have to travel to the seaside every summer. He arrived there on this old bike which once belonged to his roommate who had left recently. Suddenly, Thomas recalled how only a few years ago (which actually seemed like eternity) he came here with his family. He also recalled their lovely house that had those grotesque (scary, as he had seen them in the earlier childhood) figures of lions in front of the door. All of this looked so long ago, as if it had never happened. Then the memories immediately disappeared from his head, when he realized he had to return to his new home before everybody else is awake. Otherwise, nannies would punish him again.
