I had always wanted a dog. I prayed every time we went to church for me to get a dog. My parents, however, didn't think I was mature enough to have one. One day as I was walking home from work, this cute dog followed me. Okay, I might have enticed it by sharing some of my leftover lunch, but she looked hungry and I looked lonely. The dog did look lost. When I got home, my mom helped me a place a "found dog" ad on Craigslist. Days went by and no one claimed the dog. During that time my parents said that if no one claimed her and showed that I could take care of her, I could have her. So I started praying that no one would. In my dreams, I kept having them about someone coming and claiming her. Days turned to weeks and finally my parents conceeded that I could keep her. We had fun running through the forests and playing. I had her for over 15 years. When she finally passed away, we buried her and planted roses over her grave.
