Last November, my class went on a field trip to Sutter Park. It was a cold, breezy day, so the students were all bundled up in coats and hats. At one point, it rained so hard we had to escape inside an old abandoned supply barn. The kids rode around the park in carts, which I am sure was there first experience in driving. We had only three accidents. While driving the carts, one student drove into the old cemetery and hit the gravestone of Mr. Sam Sutter, the previous owner of the property. After lunch, the band started playing.
